Ultrasound-Guided Peripheral Nerve Blocks & Central Venous Catheter Insertion Workshop

Course Objectives: Upon completion of this program the learner will be able to:

Discuss the basic fundamentals of ultrasound physics and instrumentation
Understand the advantages of using ultrasound for peripheral nerve blocks
Identify cross sectional peripheral nerve anatomy (upper and lower limb) by ultrasound
Demonstrate techniques for performing ultrasound guided nerve blocks using inanimate phantoms
Demonstrate techniques for performing ultrasound guided CVC guidance
