Focused Pleural and Vascular Ultrasound
This course is specifically designed to assist program directors in training their fellows in ultrasound guidance of pleural disease and vascular access. The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) has published recommendations for fellowship training programs to include ultrasound. This program is intended for practicing clinicians who possess a working knowledge of ultrasound theory and its operation. This 2-day course will allow participants to:
- practice image acquisition of the thorax and vascular structures
- interpret ultrasound images of the thorax and vascular structures
- demonstrate ultrasonography guided vascular access
