Scanning Skills Workshop for the ED and CCU Practitioner
Course Objectives: At the completion of the program, the participant should be able to:
- Increase knowledge and confidence to perform routine scan protocols for the FAST exam, extended FAST, focused echo, abdominal imaging, venous imaging for DVT, and vascular access procedures.
- Obtain a record of examinations performed to assist with hospital credentialing.
- Improve proficiency with system optimization.
- Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or interpret GYN emergency medicine or GYN critical care ultrasound examinations.
- Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or interpret emergency medicine or critical care ultrasound examinations.
- Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting, under supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has been achieved.
