Emergency Procedures - A Seminar for Medical Emergency Training

Course Description:

  • Review key airway anatomy, review basic airway control indications and procedures; learn advanced techniques for nasal and oral tracheal intubation, and review cricothyroidotomy techniques and secrets.
  • Review indications and basic techniques of needle and tube thoracostomy; review basic ventilator management settings; and learn common and fatal mistakes in ventilator management and how to correct them.
  • Learn the advantages and techniques of external jugular, internal jugular, femoral and subclavian venous access; learn advanced techniques for intraosseous vascular access in children and adults; and learn advanced techniques for external cardiac pacer adjustment.
  • Learn advanced procedures to facilitate lumbar puncture in febrile and head trauma syndromes.
  • Review basic and advanced concepts in wound healing and learn tips to rapidly and correctly prepare wounds for closure.
