Introduction to Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Course Description: This one-day course will provide an overview of diagnostic MSK ultrasound in several joints throughout the body. There will be system optimization and live scanning workshops focusing on the shoulder, wrist and knee joints.

Course Objectives: Upon completion of this program the learner will be able to:

Describe the technique and protocols for performing a shoulder, wrist and knee ultrasound exam.
Identify sonographic appearance of normal anatomy and commonly seen pathology during musculoskeletal imaging.
Explain the use of ultrasound for guided interventions.
