Course Objectives: At the conclusion of this activity, each participant should be better able to:
- Understand how musculoskeletal ultrasound scanners work
- Recognize normal ultrasound shoulder anatomy
- Recognize abnormal and postsurgical ultrasound shoulder anatomy
- List the indications for shoulder ultrasound
- Understand the role of shoulder ultrasound in clinical practice
- Use ultrasound guided techniques for shoulder injections and nerve blocks
- Understand how to correctly code and bill for ultrasound procedures
