Fetal Echocardiography, a Hands-on Introduction
Course Objectives: Upon completion of this program the learner will be able to:
- State the indications and applications for performing fetal echocardiography.
- Explain fetal cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Identify ultrasound anatomy of the fetal heart.
- Demonstrate a routine protocol for a fetal echocardiogram.
- List standard measurements included in a routine examination.
- Describe commonly seen fetal heart pathology.
- Perform a fetal heart screening under supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has been achieved.
- Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or interpret examinations.
