Vascular Access

Course Outline:This one day course will use different available educational techniques like conventional trainers, virtual reality, ultrasound-guided models and animal lab in the development of special surgical skills in vascular access. Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to outline the theoretical background of vascular access and its use in patient care, demonstrate the ability to perform various types of vascular access safely and understand the complications of vascular access and how to deal withit.

This workshop targets doctors who are involved inpatient care which necessitates vascular access, for example Haematologists, Nephrologists, Intensive Care Providers, Anaesthetists as well as Surgeons.
